The Austin Film Festival kicks into high gear Thursday. Nearly 100 new films hit the screen including an early look at some potential awards contenders. Wednesday night’s Food and Film Gala was the appetizer for a week-long event. The festival is a destination for movie premieres and special panels where the emphasis is on the art of .“Probably the most important thing is a great script and then great elements, but it does start with that blueprint,” Actress Alexis Bledel said. Alexis Bledel starred in the recent theatrical (limited) release, The Good Guy, which is now on pre-order for DVD! The film will be officially released on June 22, 2010. The film didn’t get a wide distribution, and had mixed reviews, but I’d see anything with Alexis in it! Pre-order the DVD here.
