Alexis Bledel picks “The Good Guy”

March 7th, 2010 / No Comments » / by admin

We’re sitting in Beverly Hills at a hotel chatting with beautiful, blue-eyed brunette Alexis Bledel. You probably first met her as Rory Gilmore in The Gilmore Girls or followed her to Greece in The Traveling Pants movies. Now you can see her as a completely modern young New York career gal choosing between two guys in The Good Guy.
Ever feel trapped by your relationship? Is he and only he in control? Do you always go for the wrong type when the great guys are right there…ignored by you? Then you’ll totally identify with Alexis’ character Beth as she must choose between hot, ambitious Tommy (Scott Porter of TV’s Friday Night Lights), and tall, handsome, sweet Daniel (Bryan Greenberg of One Tree Hill and the movie Bride Wars).
Alexis is wearing a cute dress off the rack at H&M and we got her to talk about modern relationships, why women pick guys who are maybe too much in charge and how she enjoyed that fact that the film is very “real”, even including a romantic love scene break to reach for a condom!
Alexis verified there will be no more Traveling Pants films and we talked about her very different upcoming role as a young woman living in the 1800’s in The Conspirator. Continue reading…

Alexis Bledel ponders a ‘Gilmore Girls’ Movie

March 1st, 2010 / No Comments » / by admin

Alexis Bledel has a lot on her plate, but ‘Gilmore Girl’ fans will be happy to hear that she won’t rule out a movie adaptation. She chatted with PopEater about that possibility, and how the show kept her out of trouble while the rest of young-and-beautiful Hollywood was out in the clubs.
She also talked about her new movie The Good Guy (out Friday), the occasional ‘Sisterhood’ reunion and what it was like working with one of Hollywood’s most handsome men, Robert Redford.
Would you bring back Rory and do a Gilmore Girls movie?
I don’t know. I was really happy with the way they wrapped up the series in the finale and I thought they brought the story full circle. It was very satisfying for me. I don’t know what the story would be, but I would be curious to find out what it would be.
How come I never saw any photos of you drunk in clubs? How did you avoid the pitfalls?
Fatigue. I was working so many hours on that show. We worked really long hours, and I moved to LA without knowing anyone so the people you saw on the show were the people I knew. There wasn’t much clubbing going on. Continue reading…

Bledel ‘too young’ to be intimidated by Redford

February 26th, 2010 / No Comments » / by admin

Gilmore Girls fans hoping to see the beloved TV series up on the big screen shouldn’t expect anything soon. “I don’t know,” star Alexis Bledel told PopEater.com in an exclusive interview. “I was really happy with the way they wrapped up the series in the finale and I thought they brought the story full circle. It was very satisfying for me. I don’t know what the story would be, but I would be curious to find out what it would be.” Don’t expect a return to the small screen, either. “I’m not looking for it immediately, but I don’t rule it out. There are so many great shows on right now,” she said. Bledel recently wrapped work on The Conspirator, directed by Robet Redford. On whether she was intimidated by the Oscar-winning director, she said, “I think I’m too young.” “I was quite nervous every day on set,” she added, “because I wanted to do a good job. I wasn’t the most important character and I wanted to be sure I was doing everything right. Source: Moviefone.com
